Physics has a specific way of going wrong. Students learn the equations, can do the textbook exercises, and then lose half the marks in the exam because the question is worded differently, the diagram is unfamiliar, or the answer needs a two-line explanation they have never practised writing.
Mr. Ahmad’s physics lessons fix this from two directions. First, the concepts: what a field actually is, why momentum is conserved, what an electron is doing in a circuit. Second, the exam: how the mark scheme allocates marks, which command words need what kind of answer, and how to set out calculations so that the method marks are safe even when the final number is wrong. Because he also teaches maths, the mathematical side of physics — vectors, gradients, logarithms, calculus in mechanics — never becomes the obstacle.

Frequently asked questions
My child knows the formulas but still loses marks. Why?
That is the most common physics problem and it is usually two things: they cannot recognise which physics a question is asking for, and they do not write explanations in the way the mark scheme rewards. Both are trainable, and we practise them on real past-paper questions every lesson.
Do you teach the maths needed for physics?
Yes. Mr. Ahmad tutors maths as well as physics, so if the problem is really rearranging equations, vectors, gradients or calculus, we deal with it straight away instead of sending you to a second tutor.
Can you help with the IB Physics IA or A-Level practicals?
Yes. We cover experiment design, uncertainty analysis, graphing and evaluation, which are exactly the skills examined in the IA and in the practical-based exam questions.
How are online physics lessons taught?
On Zoom or Google Meet with a digital whiteboard. Diagrams, circuits and graphs are drawn live and you receive the annotated notes after the lesson.
